International Shipping Update
I feel like I am losing a game of Scythe right now. But we're rolling with the punches and will adjust our plan for more changes from the EU. We may be ok, but it's causing delays in the UK and EU shipping, as I assess. In the mean time I'm working out VAT to be accurate on each item and combination of item for EU and UK. I know books in the UK do not have VAT; however, miniatures do and some rewards have both.

Things are still moving over here, and it looks like we're still on track for delivering in August, at least in the US and Canada... and UK, EU, and Australia won't be far behind. The reason for the delay? I spent July reconfiguring our international fulfillment and production to reflect the demand on those hubs to be significantly quicker, and I do think it will be worth it.

I'm making final tweaks to the EU and UK taxes this week and then sending out notifications for locking addresses.
So, if you are a backer in the EU or UK, you'll be receiving an updated survey link to pay the VAT. This is not an additional fee... it was simply absent from the survey. Note: there is no VAT on books in the UK, but the UK does require VAT payment for miniatures.
EU Flat Duty
The EU Flat Duty (put into effect July 1st) was the primary reason for slowing down and reconfiguring fulfillment. Our UK hub was slated to fulfill EU members' rewards directly from the UK hub. But that would have meant I would have been charged €3-€6 per order (that adds up fast!),and it would be unethical to charge you for that duty.
Instead, we're wrapping negotiations with a vendor in the EU to receive books and produce miniatures for fulfillment. They're telling me August is feasible, but we are still wrapping negotiations. Once we have it locked in, I'll be able to confidently ship books and provide a timeline.
Digital Distribution

A lot is going on behind the scenes to coordinate fulfillment, but I wanted to make sure and get an update out to you!
EU and UK taxes
We're prepping order lists and working with vendors on final quotes for reprints and fulfillment... but I noticed the Backer Kit surveys didn't show any owed taxes. Sure enough, they weren't calculated into your orders. So, if you are a backer in the EU or UK, you'll be receiving an updated survey link to pay the balance. This is not an additional fee... it was simply absent from the survey.
EU Flat Duty
I've also been slowed down on working out how to respond to the EU flat duty of 3eu per item (type), which goes into effect July 1st. It won't cost you anything, this is for suppliers to pay. However, 3-9 euros per shipment is not insignificant, and it's caused me to slow down and reevaluate my plan for distribution into the EU. You can read more about that here:

Now Shipping - Digital Rewards

Now that we have a majority of backers locked in BackerKit, we can start sending Digital rewards. Those are starting to ship this week, with Dark Ages of Annwn miniatures shipping last.
These digital rewards will be sent via DriveThruRPG (PDFs) and MyMiniFactory (STLs). In order to receive your rewards, you need to finish a BackerKit survey here:

The Pledge Manager has been set up, and the BackerKit team is currently reviewing it for approval. There's a large variety of digital assets, and everyone ordered something a little different. The pledge manager will make it possible to manage all that. We'll be sending these links out this week. Once we start receiving responses, we'll distribute digital rewards via DriveThruRPG and MyMiniFactory. You should see your surveys in a week or two.
